This has been my family plane since 2004. It currently has about 4300 hours on the airframe. Right engine is 250 SMOH. Left engine is 200 SMOH.

I generally fly this plane at around 5000 feet and set the power back to 60% to for good economy (about 22 GPH).

The avionics in this plane are good, with a GNS 430 GPS (with mode S traffic displayed from the transponder), and an HSI. It has a Garmin 6 place audio panel. The Cessna auto pilot works well. I tested it on an ILS approach and on a windy day, it kept the glideslope and localizer centered down to 80 feet, and it would have gone farther if I had let it.

The interior is in good shape, the back seats and headliner are still in nearly perfect condition. The front seats are and carpet are just barely showing wear, but I would still rank the interior as good. The paint is also in fair shape. The engines run great and sound very good.

I have had VGs put on and the useful load on this plane is over 1700lbs (and the VMC speed is less than stock). 310s run price wise comparable if not cheaper than six place singles. It doesn't burn that much more fuel than a Piper Lance or Cessna 210. With the added useful load, and the safety (especially over water or in low IFR), my personal opinion is that the added maintainence cost is worth it.
